Project Lead & Technical Lead
2025 to present

LILITH is the airframe that proves the ADAM powerplant in flight. It is a fin-stabilized VTOL aircraft that combines vertical takeoff with sustained high-speed cruise, without carrying a large battery pack.

It flies in three states. Electric props lift it vertically with no runway or rail. At low speed the props give it quadcopter-level control. Above Mach 0.3 the props fold flush and the turbine carries it through cruise.

ADAM's 6 kW of onboard generation runs the lift props, sensors, and payload for the whole flight. I lead the aircraft design and the technical direction of the team.

Highlights

  • Vertical takeoff and landing, hover, and jet cruise in one airframe
  • Foldable props transition in the air, with no landing or reconfiguring
  • 6 kW available to sensors and payloads in every flight state
  • Aerodynamics and stability evaluated in ANSYS Fluent, OpenVSP, and XFLR5
