Overview
Hybrid System Architect & ECU Design Intern
April 2026 to August 2026
At the Technion Turbomachinery Laboratory I was lead system architect for the UMGT hybrid microturbine powerplant. I defined the mechanical and electrical layout, the power path, and the integration into a custom unmanned aircraft.
I designed, fabricated, and programmed the engine control unit: an ESP32-based board written in embedded C that reads exhaust gas temperature, RPM, and current, reports over CAN bus, and switches high-current outputs through MOSFETs.

Highlights
- Defined the drone, hybrid architecture, and generator relationship
- Thermocouple (EGT), RPM, and current sensing on one board
- MOSFET-switched high-current outputs
- Board routed, built, and brought up by me
